“One In A Million” is about the filmmaker’s family - and their learning curve, transition to, and understanding of, their daughter, Lucy, and her autism spectrum disorder, specifically Asperger’s syndrome. While including some expert opinions, it is mostly about the day-to-day life out of one chapter of Lucy’s life – the transition, with expert guidance, over the course of the four-month period in the summer 2008.
